Sage Kids Salon Family Boutique (Sage Kids Salon) or (Sage Kids Family) for short, is a compilation of the memories and experiences of Barbara as a child growing up in Lake Oswego through adulthood as an accomplished Stylist, salon owner (The Barbara Shop), creative interests, professional expertise, knowledge, training, and a solution driven experience by Barbara Perez.
Founded in 2018, Barbara created a offer her own childhood community all of the benefits of her her love of hair design, family, motherhood, childhood, community, creativity, quality hair products, jewelry, fashion, fun, wholesome childhood, hospitality, authenticity and casual living and together in one
She has a stage performance background, as a child, she was scouted out, while on recess at Oregon Episcopal School, to runway model children's high end clothing. Later she modeled for Basist Institute of Fashion. Then as a Student at Phagan's College of Hair Design, Barbara created concept hair and makeup designs. She competed with her and competed or land trained as a runway runway model hair design background for Waves International Hair Show televised International Hair showas a hair designer for Waves Hair Show stage & photo
She specializes in youth haircuts and top quality ear lobe piercing.
Barbara heads the Sage Family apprenticeship program. A mentor to current college of hair design students, recent graduates, stylist who are expanding their areas of professional knowledge and expertise.
Barbara comes to you with years of professional experience! The Sage Kids & Family of services is a rare diamond because she is able to perform at her Certified Master Level of knowledge and expertise for all ages, all services, giving you, and your entire family the best in highly skilled personal service.
Barbara is a 7th generation Oregonian, raised in Lake Oswego, graduated from Beau Monde College of Hair Design in Portland, Oregon.
Barbara apprenticed at the prestigious International Waves Hair Design under the direction of renowned Veronica Cantue and Banks sisters.
Barbara wants every person who comes to Sage Kids Family Salon to feel relaxed, comfortable, and at home.

Desirae is a Certified Master Children's Hair Specialist and our lead Stylist. Many children and families won't see anyone but Desirae! She has been with the Sage Kids Salon & Family Boutique since we opened in 2018.
Desirae graduated with honors from NW College & School of Beauty. She went directly into her certification training as a children's hair specialist. She's also incredible with tweens, teens and children with special needs.
Desirae is very professional, casual, genuine, patient, and she connects with her child clients, and their parents in a very casual yet professional way. she's a good listener and she doesn't use "baby talk" she speaks to children as a friend, and as a person. She has a spectacular ability to put parents and children at ease.
Desirae is a solid stylist with years of experience. Desirae does incredible haircuts and honestly, her "Bobs" and "Lobs" are the absolute best!

Serie is our Barber/Stylist. She has over 10 years of experience in the industry. Serie graduated from Phagans Beauty College, Serie is a full service stylist, she is fast, fun, patient and kind. Serie likes doing kids, tweens, teens, adults, she loves clipper cuts, first haircut packages. Serie has a privacy barbering space for her ear & nose waxing.
Serie is really a wonderful stylist who can do all of our hair service offerings. She is a true professional and a fantastic person!

Celize is amazing! She seems to be able to do anything when it comes to the salon. She is our party coordinator, salon assistant manager, Tinseling, Ear & Nose piercing (soft tissue only), Styling, and Makeup Artist.
Celize began working at "Sage Kids & Family Salon Boutique" during highschool as a student in the Sabin Shellingberg Hair Stylist Technical Training Program. After graduation she went directly to finish her education at Phagan's Beauty College.
Celize is central to the Sage Family, and we all adore her, her talent and training is apparent in everything she does at the salon.

Lisa is simply an amazing Colorist and Permanent Wave specialist. She loves to do Color & Perms!
She is very nice and caring. She has a very kind and patient approach, does incredible braiding finishes. Great with girls, she has it all!

David is so talented and completely adorable in every way! He was meant to be a Stylist. He is patient, kind, considerate, confident and just wonderful!
